While living in Vietnam I found there frequently wasn't much information or decent photos of places to visit off the beaten track available on the internet - it may be easy to find information on towns on the Sinh Cafe routes but beyond that places were often something of a mystery.

I found this echoed in finding special places to eat and drink - you could hunt them out yourself, scan noodlepie or Gastronomy for suggestions but there's nothing like a personal recommendation.

So beings Vietnam Travels - which we plan to grow over time to find all those special places you hear a little about but never enough. We hope it will become a place for everyone to share their tips and favourite places - once you have signed up, under any of the key cities listed above you are welcome to add a 'child' page - be it 'Top 10 Green Spaces in Ho Chi Minh City' or a guide to waterfalls near Buon Ma Thot - or just to leave a comment with any additional tips for the area.

We also encourage you to add reviews on your favourite places to eat and stay around the country, and in turn (provided you're logged in) you'll recieve personalised recommendations of other places people with similar tastes have rated highly (doing for restaurants and hotels what Amazon does for books and films)
